On Tuesday 21st November 2017 we held our Annual Civic Luncheon in the Crypts of Guildhall.

Our Luncheon this year was again held in the atmospheric and convivial surroundings of the Crypts below Guildhall. Our Principal Guest was Sheriff Neil Redcliffe and his wife Emma. Following an excellent reception for over 150 people we enjoyed a fine 3 course luncheon catered again by the ever-reliable Cook & Butler. Sheriff Redcliffe gave an inspirational speech and introduced the 3 charities that would (unusually) form the Lord Mayor's appeal for the coming 3 years: Samaritans, Place2Be and Onside Youth Zone. The Chairman Neil Hitchens spoke briefly of his year in Office so far and picked out the 'Double Header' to Winchester as his highlight event to date. He also thanked the many guests that had accepted the Club's invitation to Guildhall today - especially the Masters from all 6 Livery Companies that currently inhabit the Ward of Broad Street and The Remembrancer from Guildhall itself.
