Here are the forthcoming Broad Street Ward Club Events.
ANNUAL CIVIC LUNCH
in celebration of the installation of the Rt. Hon. The Lord Mayor
to be held in the Crypts at Guildhall
on Thursday 25th November 2021 at 12.00 noon
Mr James Nisbet, and Committee, are delighted to confirm that the Annual Civic Lunch will go ahead as planned. We are honoured that Aldermen and Sheriffs (elect) Nicholas Lyons and Alison Gowman, together with their Consorts, will be in attendance.
As always, we are privileged to hold this special lunch in the splendid 13th century Crypts at Guildhall, the political and administrative centre of the City of London since the Middle Ages. Apart from the Civic Party, the Club’s official guests will include the Masters of the seven Worshipful Companies and two Guilds which are located within our Ward, the Remembrancer of the City of London and our own Honorary Chaplain, the Reverend Prebendary Jeremy Crossley. Also, a number of other senior City leaders, both past and present, will be attending.
We will enjoy a sparkling reception, after which there will be a formal procession into a three-course lunch, accompanied by wines, followed by port, coffee and speeches; and finally there will be a stirrup cup.
City morning dress or lounge suits should be worn with badges, and hats are recommended for ladies.
Please book as early as possible because we think that places will fill up particularly quickly this year. Applications must be received by close of business on MONDAY 8th NOVEMBER.
