A Visit to Dr Johnson's House
on 8th April 2019
Members and guests joined the Chairman for a visit to No. 17 Gough Square (a charming 300 year old townhouse, just off Fleet Street) the only surviving City residence of Dr Samuel Johnson, writer and wit, who lived there for over 10 years during the mid 18th Century.
Containing a research library, restored interiors and a wealth of original features, this is a hidden gem and a tranquil spot in the midst of the bustling City.
